Subject: Brahma  Muhurtam   Brahma , the Muhurtam of Lord Brahma is considered as the best time for meditation. This time of the day, which will pass magical energy inside you, is the right time to connect with god.   Brahma Muhurtam is that time of the day which is deemed as the most apt to perform meditation. It is believed to be most effective, as things related to mind are done. As per Hindu scriptures, Brahma Muhurtam is considered to be the time influenced by Lord Brahma (the creator). Brahma Muhurtam is believed to be the most effective time of the day to acquire supreme power and knowledge.  Activities Performed During Brahma Muhurtam The very first thing you have to do is chanting the name of god. This helps to clear the consciousness of the influences of sleep or any bad dreams you may have experienced during the night. After that, complete your daily activities and take shower. Once all this is done, offer prayer to the almighty.  Practicing meditation during Brahma Muhurtam is considered highly fruitful. Meditation will give you peace of mind so that you can work all day long with a positive beginning. It is said that during Brahma Muhurta, Shushmana Nadi flows readily; hence, for meditating at this time, you don’t have to put much efforts. Practice some Asanas like, Sirsasana or Sarvangasana or any other asana to give benefits to your body. Also, you can do Pranayama and read any religious book like Gita.  Importance Of the Muhurtam Muhurtam is a Hindu unit for the measurement of time. One Muhurta equals to two Ghadiyan or 48 minutes. We have 24 hours in a day, which means 30 Muhurats every day. The exact time for Brahma Muhurta  is not the same throughout the year at any place.  Nor is it fixed for the  entire world.  It is linked to sunrise  at a particular place and date. Brahma Muhurta is said to be the second last Muhurta before sunrise (1 hr 36 mins before sunrise). According to Hindu mythology, one should rise from bed at this time and do spiritual activities.  During the time of Brahma Muhurta, the concentration level is at its peak. Therefore, students are advised to study during Brahma Muhurta. It is the best time for meditation, as Shushmana Nadi flows readily at this time and your mind will not be deviated anywhere. Practicing Yoga and Pranayama in Brahma Muhurta gives more benefits than in other time of the day.  The Beneficial Aspects When you meditate in Brahma Muhurta, it absorbs all your tensions keeping you peaceful and happy all day long. Practicing Yoga in this time gives more benefits to your body. Meditation during Brahma Muhurta increases concentration.  Brahma Muhurta is the perfect time to connect with God.
