DC Lines to your homes for uninterrupted electricity - IIT Madras to put an end to load shedding in India through low power DC lines - பவர் கட்டில் இருந்து இந்தியா விடுதலை பெறூம் நேரம் விட்டது. - English Version Scroll Down..... ஐஐடி மெட்ராஸ் ஒரு புது வகையான மின்சார பிராஜக்ட்டை இவ்வளவு நாள் சைலென்டாய் செய்தூ இப்போது அதை செயல்படுத்த உள்ளது. அதாவது மெல்லிய அழுத்தம் கொண்ட டிசி லைன்களை உங்கள் வீட்டீர்க்கு கனெக்ஷன் தர போகிறது மின்சார வாரியம். இது ஆங்காங்கே இருக்கும் சப்ஷ்டேஷன் மூலம் இதனை உங்கள் வீட்டின் எக்ஸ்ஸிட்டிங் லைன்களின் கூட அல்லது புதிதாகவும் கொடுக்க உள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் 3-5 லைட்கள், இரண்டு மின் விசிறி மற்றூம் ஒரு சார்ஜர் பாயின்ட் வேலை செய்யும். பெரும் மின்சார பிரச்சினையின் போது மின்சார லைன்களை ஷ்ட் டவுன் செய்வார்கள் ஆனால் இந்த டிசி லைன்களை பதிந்துவிட்டால் ஷட் டவுன் இல்லவே இல்லை. பழுதை 100 வாட் டிசி லைனில் அப்படியே பார்க்க முடியும். அப்படியே 220 வோல்ட் ஏசி லைன் ஷ்ட் டவுன் செய்தால் கூட இந்த டிசி லைன்கள் அந்த வீட்டில் வேலை செய்யும். அதன் மூலம் அத்வாசிய தேவையான சில விளக்குகள் / மின்விசிறி மற்றூம் மொபைல் சார்ஜர் பாயின்ட் வேலை செய்யும். இதனை இன்ஸ்டால் செய்ய வெறூ ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் மட்டுமே. தமிழ் நாடு / ஆந்திரா / கேரளா மற்றூம் கர்னாடாகா மின்சார நிறுவனங்களுடன் ஒப்பந்தம் ஆகி இந்த பிராஜக்ட் ஆரம்பிக்க படுகிறது. இதனை வடிவமைத்தவர் தமிழர் மின்சார பொறியாளர் பேராசரியர் - பாஸ்கரன் ராம மூர்த்தி. இதை இப்போது செயல்படுத்த அந்த அந்த ஏரியாவுக்கு அதிகாரிகள் விஜயம் செய்து விரும்பிய கஸ்டமர்களுக்கு உடனே பொருத்தியும் தருகின்றனர் என்பது கூடுதல் மகிழ்ச்சி தகவல். A pilot project taken up at IIT will aim at totally eliminating load-shedding in select southern states. The project involves setting up low-power DC lines from the nearest sub-station to individual houses. The state electricity boards will install these lines, capable of powering about three bulbs, two fans and a mobile charger. The lower power DC (direct current) line will run from substation to house, feeding into a separate meter. The rest of the house will be metered separately for AC power usage. Except for the repairs, it's expected that these 100 watt power lines will never need a shut-down. The project will also be very cost effective. Subscriber who opt for these low power DC lines will have to pay about Rs. 1000 to install a device at home. A team from IIT-M will visit the consumers who are willing to participate in the experiment and perform necessary inspections in the houses. The nearby transformers will then be tweaked to setup DC power lines. Setting up short-range DC lines would be a problem to avoid complete blackouts; and is going to be incredibly useful during night-times and in areas where summer temperatures cross 40 degrees and beyond.
