கேசாதி - பாத வர்ணணை ( ஸ்துலம் )

மனோரூபேஷு கோதண்டா பஞ்சதன்மாத்ர-ஸாயகா|
நிஜருண- ப்ரபாபூர-மஜ்ஜத்-ப்ரஹமணட-மண்டலா||
ஓம் மனோரூபேஷு கோதண்டாயை நம: (10)
மனமாகிய கரும்பு வில்லை உடையவள்
மனம் சங்கல்பம் விகல்பம் என்ற இரண்டு செய்கைகளும் உடையது. சங்கல்பம் எண்ணத்தில் சரியானது என்று முடிவெடுக்கும் செய்முறை, விகல்பம் என்றால் எண்ணங்களுக்கிடையிலான வேறுபாட்டினை உணர்ந்தறியும் செய்முறை. இரண்டும் ஒன்றுக்கொன்று முரணான செய்முறை. மனமும் அறிவைப்போன்று நுண்ணியது. மனம் ஐந்து புலன்களினூடாக பிரதிபலிக்கும். மனம் புலன்களூடாக பெறும் பதிவுகள் மூலம் சங்கல்ப விகல்பங்களை ஏற்படுத்தி எண்ணங்களை தூண்டி இறுதியில் செயலினை செய்ய வைக்கிறது. இக்ஷு என்றால் கரும்பு என்று அர்த்தம், கோதண்ட என்றால் வில், இடது முன்னங்கையில் கரும்பாலான வில்லினை கொண்டிருக்கிறாள். ஏன் கரும்பாலான வில்? கரும்பினை பிழிந்து சாறு எடுத்தால் அது இனிப்பான சக்கரையினை தரும். அதுபோல் மனதினை பிழிந்து (கட்டுப்படுத்தி வழிப்படுத்தினால்) அவன் இனிப்பான பிரம்மத்தினை அறியலாம். இந்தக் கை மந்திரிணியான ராஜ சியாமளையை குறிக்கிறது.

She is possessed of the Sugarcane bow of mind
This one talks about what she is holding in her lower left hand. She holds a bow which personifies the mind characterized by both Sankalpa and Vikalpa.
Ikshu means sugar cane and kothandam means a bow. She is holding in her left lower arm a bow of sugar cane. Why sugarcane bow? If you crush sugarcane you get sweet and tasty juice from which sugar is manufactured. It means if you crush your mind (controlling the mind), you get the sweet reality of the Brahman. This arm is represented by Mantrini or Shyamala devi. .

(சப்த ஸபர்ச ரூப, கந்த, ரச எனும்) ஐந்து தன்மாத்திரைகளை பாணங்களாக உடையவள்
பஞ்ச என்றால் ஐந்து, தன்மாத்ர என்றால் சுவை, தோடு உணர்வு, பார்வை, ஓலி, மணம் ஆகியவை. இவை ஐந்தும் பஞ்ச பூதங்களான ஆகாயம், காற்று, அக்னி, நீர், நிலம் ஆகிய ஐந்தினதும் சுஷும வெளிப்பாடாகும். லலிதை இந்த மரலம்புகளை தனது பக்தர்கள் மீது செலுத்தி மாயையின் ஐந்து அங்கங்களாக விளங்கு தன்மாத்திரைகளை வெல்கிறாள். இந்த பஞ்ச தன்மாத்ரைகள் மூலமாகவே மாயை செயற்படுகிறது. இது தேவியின் வலது முன்னங்கை, இது வாராஹி தேவியினை குறிக்கிறது.-nandri oum

The five subtle elements are her five arrows, and they are rasa (taste), rupa(form), sabda (sound),p}, Rupa, Rasa, Gandha. These five flowers or arrows are described differently in various tantra sastas.
Lalitha targets Her devotees with these arrows to destroy the illusion or maya as the five subtle elements are associated with maya. This is her right lower hand. Varahi devi is
represented by this hand.
