"बेईमानी से लाभ - बस एक भ्रम
बेईमानी की गरिमा स्वीकारने तथा आदर्श के रूप में अपनाने वाले वस्तुतः वस्तुस्थिति का बारीकी से विश्लेषण नहीं कर पाते । वे बुद्धि भ्रम से ग्रसित हैं । सच तो यह है, बेईमानी से धन कमाया ही नहीं जा सकता । इस आड़ में कमा भी लिया जाए तो वह स्थिर नहीं रह सकता । लोग जिन गुणों से कमाते हैं, वे दूसरे ही हैं । साहस, सूझ-बूझ, मधुर भाषण, व्यवस्था, व्यवहारकुशलता आदि वे गुण हैं जो उपार्जन का कारण बनते हैं । बेईमानी से अनुपयुक्त रूप से अर्जित किए गए लाभ का परिणाम स्थिर नहीं और अंततः दुःखदायी ही सिद्ध होता है । ऐसे व्यक्ति यदि किसी प्रकार राजदंड से बच भी जाएँ तो भी उन्हें अपयश, अविश्वास, घृणा, असहयोग जैसे सामाजिक और आत्मप्रताड़ना तथा आत्मग्लानि जैसे आत्मिक कोप का भाजन अंततः बनना पड़ता है । बेईमानी से भी कमाई तभी होती है जब उस पर ईमानदारी का आवरण चढ़ा हो । किसी को ठगा तभी जा सकता है जब उसे अपनी प्रामाणिकता एवं विश्वसनीयता पर आश्वस्त कर दिया जाए । यदि किसी को यह संदेह हो जाए कि हमें ठगने का ताना बाना बुना जा रहा है तो वह उस जाल में नहीं फँसेगा तथा दूसरे को अपनी धूर्तता का लाभ नहीं मिल सकेगा । वास्तवकिता प्रकट होने पर तो बेईमानी करने वाला न केवल उस समय के लिए वरन् सदा के लिए लोगों का अपने प्रति विश्वास खो बैठता है और लाभ कमाने के स्थान पर उल्टा घाटा उठाता है । रिश्वत लेते, मिलावट करते, धोखाधड़ी बरतते, सरकारी टैक्स हड़पते, काला बाजारी करते पकड़े जाने वाले सरकारी दंड पाते तथा समाज में अपनी प्रतिष्ठा गँवाते आए दिन देखे जाते हैं । उनकी असलियत प्रकट होते ही हर व्यक्ति घृणा करने लगता है ।

"Profit From Dishonesty - Merely An Illusion
Those who accept dishonesty as dignified, and adopt it to be their ideal, are failing to analyze the situation in a thorough enough manner. They are disillusioned. The truth is that money simply cannot be earned by dishonest means. Even when we do acquire some wealth temporarily, the wealth can not stay permanent and really be ours. True living can only be earned through courage, wisdom, discipline, dexterity, and skillfulness. Dishonest earnings through inappropriate means lead to results that are not only unstable but that are also eventually painful. There might be temporary escape from direct punishment, but eventually, in the long term, dishonesty invariably leads to public anger, outrage, hate, isolation, and sadness. In practice, deceit and corruption must be sugar coated with a fake layer of honesty for it to work. Conning does require establishing trust and confidence. If any suspicion arises, the person being conned is likely to jump out of the trap. Once proven guilty, the con man loses credibility forever and ends up bearing more eventual losses than profits. There could be scores of everyday examples where the people who are caught bribing, cheating, evading tax, doing back marketing, and illegally hoarding not only get severely punished by the law but they also loose their social status and prestige. Once their deeds become public, everyone starts hating them.
